Susan L. Taylor Bids Essence Farewell.......

It's reported that Susan L. Taylor is leaving Essence Magazine after being at the helm for over thirty years. Ms. Taylor has decided to devote her time to the National Cares Mentoring Movement.
Essence Magazine, which is owned by the Time Inc. division of Time Warner, did not make an official announcement as of post time but Ms. Taylor chose to send out word via e-mail.
“I am taking a break in South Africa and will have little access to e-mail,” she wrote in an automated out-of-office message this month. “When I come back to the states in mid-January, I will be leaving Essence to do what at this juncture in my life has become a larger work for me — building the National Cares Mentoring Movement, which I founded as Essence Cares and today is my deepest passion."

For as long as I can remember Essence magazine has been synonymous with Susan L. Taylor gracing the editor's page with her luxurious corn rows and radiant smile. Each month she relays a wonderful message filled with spiritual enlightenment and hope.

I've had the privilege and opportunity to meet Susan on various occasions and I must admit Tres Chic Style sadly bids Ms. Taylor farewell.
We do however send our best wishes for continued success in all her future endeavors........
