Detroit Style....
After a little R&R in the motor city of Detroit, Michigan I'm back to share a few tidbits about my trip. This was my first time in Detroit and boy was it cold......... 8 degrees was the high one day!
Next Stop Steve & Barry's......
This was my first visit ever to Steve & Barry's and if it were not for the Clearance Sale I probably would have still been wondering about that Sarah Jessica Parker Bitten collection. I was a little dissapointed with the quality and fit but I managed to snag a pair of these for $8.89
That's me at the airport rocking my $8.89 SJP Bitten Jeans en route back to New York.
I was so looking forward to the Saks Off 5th but to my surprise they were no longer there..... I found Spanx for $8 during my last trip to the one in Woodbury Commons, NY.
Jimmy Jazz obviously was the former home of Forever 21 and looks like they decided to just move on in and change signage. I was not a happy camper with this one!!!
Most of my fiercely loyal readers know nothing makes me happier than a Great Shoe.......
Designer Shoes, owned by Warsita Layupan was a shoe-lover's dream. This dynamic outpost is one of 3 in the Detroit area and boast an array of stilettos, jeweled sandals and over-the top thigh high boots..... Designer Shoes brought back so many memories of my college days in Baltimore (shouts to Morgan State), Baltimore was home to the sassy stiletto shoe.
These over-the knee stiletto boots are definitely bringing sexy back.......
PETA step back because they are laying the fur on you big time in Detroit.....
And no, these are not the Prom Collection........ Just a regular party shoe in the Motor City!!!
I even saw a few that Miss Trina would definitely approve of....... Straight up Miami Style!
Thanks Again to Ms. Layupan and her dynamic staff for the fab pictures of the shoe collection!!!Designer Shoes-Fairlane Town Center (313) 240-7669
While I missed the Motown Museum this trip, the Wayne County Airport provided a gift shop filled with nostalgic goodies.
