DNC Convention Style....

Have dresses replaced the classic power-suit? This seems to be the question bloggers and fashion writer's will be pondering at the close of the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Michelle Obama chose a turquoise 50's inspired dress by Chicago based designer Maria Pinto (also Michelle's friend and designer of the infamous purple sheath dress worn earlier in the campaign) and an Erickson Beamon brooch.

The DNC Convention has taken on a Fashion Week persona as celebs descend on Denver for a who's in who in style. Fashionable celebrities like Ben Affleck, Ed Norton, Susan Sarandon, Spike Lee, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington, Oprah Winfrey and Annette Bening have confirmed their attendance while fashion-industry faves Kanye West, John Legend and Cyndi Lauper will perform.

Gayle (I need a new do) King showed off her Obama spirit....

Sheryl Lee Ralph and Sidra Smith (Tasha's twin sister) made their way into Denver for the convention....

The lovely Star Jones touched down in Denver rockin' the infamous Herve Leger bandage style dress.... (We see you Star!!!!)

The DNC Convention even brought out Tatyana Ali and former NBA Star Kevin Johnson who incidentally is running for mayor of Sacremento, California....

Even the tiniest democrats managed to keep it stylish & chic......

Then there's the other side of the spectrum......

Delegates convene on the floor in their zany hats decorated with Obama pride and their hometown flavor. Many promoting their individual causes or platforms, their love for Obama and an overwhelming message of Unity!

This delegate from Michigan shows off a hat depicting the state's Mackinac Bridge...

Somebody really likes Pink.....

Lets' just give her a break for displaying her patriotism and devotion to the fashion mis-fits....
