Oscar Style Update....

Last night Tres Chic Style sashayed on over to the posh W Hotel Union Square to view the Oscar's with a bevy of  fashionistas, editors and social elite for the Refinery29 Oscar Viewing Party. About half past seven, all eyes were on the Red Carpet as we anxiously awaited the Awards ceremony to begin. We nodded in agreement at our favorite looks and cringed in horror at some of the fashion faux-pas' of the evening..

Hair was a HUGE topic of discussion for the evening.. Who wore it better and who just did nothing at all! Red proved to be the favorite hue of the night while the sparkly Marchesa (Halle Berry) and Chanel (Michelle Williams, above)  gowns came in a close second.

Natalie Portman's look did nothing to excite the room, however that golden statuette found it's way into her arms for her poignant role in Black Swan.

Reese Witherspoon... Where do we begin??  The hair extensions confused me and the ponytail horrified us all.. Reese is the Hollywood Golden Girl and last night she was just a girl in Hollywood with awful hair in a Giorgio Armani Prive gown...

Moving along to Gwyneth Paltrow...Missed her performance but loved her look. I would have preferred she did something different with her hair.. Like a cutesy bob or some bangs for a wow factor!

The Haute Couple Award Goes To.....
Matthew McConaughey hit the carpet  in Dolce  & Gabbana, while his date and significant other Camila Alves kept it chic in Kaufman Franco.

Anne Hathaway made her debut on the carpet in a red Valentino gown alongside the legendary designer himself . James Franco gave us a dose of sexy and Anne managed to dazzle in eight wardrobe changes... These three were my absolute faves!

Side Note: Thanxies to Maureen, Editor of  Rock the Look for taking this haute image of me above....
