In Chic Fashion News: Sarah Jessica Parker SJP Shoe Collection
Sex and the City devotees the wait is finally over! Our resident fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker (always Carrie Bradshaw in my head) has finally unveiled her entire SJP shoe collection. The vibrant collection launches exclusively at Nordstrom on February 28th at selected Nordstrom locations and on-line.
The colourful and stunning offerings deliver a homage to Parker's feminine style. Each shoe comes complete with grosgrain ribbon detail on every style. The unique detail is a reference to the actress's childhood.
Styles range from elegant T-bars and metallic stilettos to suede flip-flops and espadrille wedges, with prices starting at $195.
"I've taken inspiration from things in my life such as the grosgrain ribbons I tied in my hair as a girl, to the flower accents from the Sex and the City wardrobe to references to classic styles from the late Seventies and early Eighties," said Parker. "I'm a firm believer in quality and timelessness and have created this collection with the hopes that women will love wearing it for years to come."

The collection also features a selection of handbags and trench coats. The Sex and the City star first announced she was launching her own line in June last year, choosing to collaborate with George Malkemus, CEO of Manolo Blahnik - the label that, as Carrie Bradshaw, she helped put firmly on the fashion map.
While this is not SJP's first foray into fashion, it's the most exciting launch to date. In 2008 Parker collaborated with retailer Steve & Barry to crete the coveted "Bitten" clothing line where all items were sold under $20. The demand and success of the line was huge until the retailer filed bankruptcy and eventually closed all stores.
