Favorite Spring Looks....

Spring is on it's way.... This is the time of year when we begin to shed those winter layers and don the season's sexiest skirts, stilettos and sheaths. My prediction is that accessories will play a huge role this season. Statement jewelry will remain a wardrobe favorite and simplicity will replace extravagance and all it's lady-like trappings.

Here's a few trends I'm looking forward to......

Candy Shoppe Colors.....
Lemon Sorbet, Bubblegum and Candy Apple Green are just a few of my favorite things.... Nothings says summer fun like punchy hues in the season's best frocks.

A great Trench!!!! Many of my loyal fashionistas already know about my torrid love affair with a great trench. It adds a lil' mystery to what's lurking beneath and acts as an instant fashion fix for a busy mommy on the go (See why, here) . A classic trench in a sugary sweet hue is a perfect addition for those April showers....

Kate Spade.... The new Kate Spade!!!! Deborah Lloyd is the new creative director at Kate Spade and the expectations are high. Liz Claiborne (Kate Spade's parent company) is hoping to transform the-little-label-that-could into a $250 million dollar retail powerhouse by 2010. Lloyd brings her whimsical talent from successful stints at Banana Republic and Burberry (remember Kate Moss in the signature Burberry bikini ad, that's Deborah Lloyd).

The arrival of a new creative director is signaling a welcome change with the introduction of jewelry and apparel lines to the brand famous for handbags. I love this, want this and may just snag this.....

Cute shoes that won't make my feet hurt..... Okay I admit it, I have sacrificed comfort for fashion on countless occasions. I've stood on lines at Fashion Week in killer stilettos praying for a seat, walked three-five blocks to the train in pure agony and even chased my 4 year old around a crowded department store....while still looking effortlessly chic!

This Spring I'm looking for a little comfort in my daily routine. And hopefully a cute ballerina, gladiator or wedge may do the trick....... Or maybe I can try these....
