Five Spring Must-Haves....

As promised.... we're giving you a glimpse at our favorite Spring looks, where to buy'em and how to rock'em!
First things first this Spring.....Don't follow every trend!!!

In today's economy many fashionista's are forgoing the malls and online retailers in search of uber finds right in their own closets. Fashion is reincarnated virtually every other season (or 2-3 years) so your bound to have a piece or two in your closet to incorporate into this season's look.

The Season's Five Must Haves.....

Voluminous Skirts

Johnathan Saunders delivered us a myriad of intricate bold designs such as; voluminous skirts, geometric cut-outs, and pops of bold colors in his Spring/Summer 2009 runway show. Voluminous skirts look best with with fitted tanks or banded tees for casual looks while an evening look calls for a romantic blouse to up the ante.

Stylist Advice: voluminous skirts can go two ways....They can be very forgiving if you want to hide any trouble areas, or they can actually make you look bigger in your lower half than you really are (Yikes!). So fashionistas, know your body type and take a look at this and maybe this for some inspiration.

Jumpsuits

We've revisited this look once again and from the looks of things it may actually be here to stay for a while.... Many fashionistas were hesitant to purchase a jumpsuit this past fall but designers have shown us the shorts romper version is an easier way to rock the of-the-moment trend. Check out our Jumpsuit 101 for ideas, how-to's and our favorite looks.

Sky-High Heels

This spring designers are bringing the drama with high uncomfortable looking heels. We've watched the models grace the catwalks in teetering, tottering looks and even a caught a few snafus in Milan. We love a stunning shoe and the Miu Miu T-bar platform sandals is the best rendition of rock star chic meets glam. I'm totally smitten with the cork heel and platform sole that will alleviate a broken ankle on the New York City sidewalks, Ha!

Lastly, we mentioned Haute Jeans being a must have. We all have our favorite jeans and designers bombard us each season with the "IT" Jean. My advice is to love your jeans...your favorite Levis, Sevens or Calvins! I'm not much of a jeans kind of girl but when I do go in search for a pair my SJP Bitten's from Steve & Barry's suit me just fine..... And at nine bucks...I won't complain!!!

Stay tuned next week for a full post on Bib Necklaces.....Can't Wait!!!
